#6 of 7 hotels in Grzegórzki by Axel's take. Grzegórzki is #7 of 7 places to stay in Krakow. The best hotels in Grzegórzki, ranked · Where to stay in Krakow

Axel's take: 8.6/10

A dependable riverside base with excellent breakfast, but not an Old Town doorstep. a modern 4-star conference hotel by the Vistula, scored for what it is.

Galaxy is a modern 4-star conference hotel by the Vistula, and a strong pick if comfort matters more than Old Town atmosphere. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the clean rooms, generous breakfast and helpful staff. We'd choose it for a practical city break: Kazimierz is within walking distance, and included pool and sauna access adds something useful after sightseeing.

The main compromise is location: allow roughly 25–30 minutes on foot to the Main Market Square. The pool is small rather than resort-sized, with capacity limits; the hotel also confirms that the pool area and saunas will close January 11–24, 2027, for annual inspections. Parking costs extra. We'd skip it if you want historic character or sightseeing immediately outside the door, but it's a very good all-rounder for its class.

  • Best for: couples happy to walk; sightseers wanting wellness facilities; business travelers

  • Watch out for: 25–30-minute walk to the Main Market Square; small pool with capacity limits; pool and sauna closure January 11–24, 2027

  • Location: By the Vistula near Galeria Kazimierz; convenient for Kazimierz, less central for Old Town.

  • Rooms: Comfortable, practical rooms draw strong feedback; expect a modern hotel rather than historic character.

  • Cleanliness: A clear strength across sources, with particularly strong cleanliness ratings on Booking.com and Expedia.

  • Service: Mostly praised as helpful and friendly, with occasional reports of slow or less welcoming service.

  • Amenities: Restaurant, bar, gym and included pool and saunas; wellness capacity is limited.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking and spa treatments cost extra; pool area and saunas close January 11–24, 2027.
