Axel's take: 8.7/10

A strong Begumpet base, with spacious rooms, good food and notably warm service. an upscale full-service business hotel in Begumpet, scored for what it is.

Marigold is an upscale, full-service business hotel in Begumpet, part of the Greenpark group but distinct from neighboring Greenpark Hyderabad. We'd pick it for comfortable city stays rather than resort-style luxury. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise spacious, clean rooms, helpful housekeeping and the breakfast spread; Booking.com's strong cleanliness and comfort ratings reinforce that picture. The rooftop pool and round-the-clock gym add useful downtime between meetings or sightseeing.

The main caveat is location: this is a Begumpet base, not somewhere to walk straight into the old city's sights. Service earns considerable praise, although some guests describe occasional lapses and slow dining service. Most importantly, the hotel's own website lists the spa as coming soon. We'd skip it for a spa break, but it's a strong choice for business travelers and families prioritizing room comfort and food.

• Best for: business travelers in Begumpet; families wanting spacious rooms; travelers who prioritize food and service

• Watch out for: spa listed as coming soon; old-city sights require transport; occasional service delays

• Location: Begumpet commercial-area base, with metro access nearby; not an old-city sightseeing location.

• Rooms: Entry-level rooms are listed at 315 square feet; guests regularly praise their space and comfort.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across sites, including Booking.com's 9.2 cleanliness rating.

• Service: Warm, helpful staff draw repeated praise, with occasional complaints about follow-through or dining delays.

• Amenities: Rooftop pool, 24-hour fitness centre and two restaurants; the official site says the spa is coming soon.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is listed as free; airport transfers cost extra, and breakfast inclusion depends on the booking.
