Axel's take: 8.3/10

A strong city base for spacious rooms and breakfast, rather than polished luxury. a practical, upscale 4-star business hotel in Banjara Hills, scored for what it is.

Hyatt Place Hyderabad Banjara Hills is a practical, upscale 4-star business hotel, and we'd pick it for a comfortable city stay rather than a luxury escape. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the roomy accommodation, helpful staff and breakfast spread; Booking.com guests also rate location and comfort strongly. The outdoor rooftop pool, skybar, spa and round-the-clock gym give it more leisure appeal than a basic business hotel.

The trade-off is consistency. Most feedback is positive, but some recent guests describe uneven restaurant service, noise and rooms beginning to show their age. Those are caveats, not the dominant story. It's a strong pick for work trips and city visits; we'd skip it if silence, fresh interiors and seamless luxury service are your priorities.

• Best for: business travelers based in Banjara Hills; city visitors wanting spacious rooms; travelers who value a substantial breakfast

• Watch out for: some guests report noise; occasional service inconsistency; some rooms showing their age

• Location: Well-rated Banjara Hills base for shopping, restaurants and nearby hospitals; surroundings are busy.

• Rooms: Generous layouts and comfortable beds draw praise, though some guests notice aging interiors.

• Cleanliness: Generally a strength across guest reviews, rather than a recurring concern.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn frequent praise; restaurant service is less consistently polished.

• Amenities: Outdoor rooftop pool, skybar, Sol Spa and 24-hour gym; the pool is not indoors.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists free parking; airport transfers and early check-in or late checkout carry charges.
