Exceptional service and harbourfront facilities make this a strong choice for Hong Kong luxury. a waterfront five-star luxury hotel in Central’s IFC complex, scored for what it is.

Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong is a waterfront five-star that delivers on luxury’s basics as convincingly as its headline attractions. Recent Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise thoughtful staff, spotless rooms and comfortable beds. We’d choose it for the combination of spacious accommodation, IFC shopping and transport connections, serious dining, and a harbour-facing pool terrace that gives a city stay some resort appeal.

The trade-offs are more about choosing carefully than recurring failings. Peak-view rooms do not deliver the harbour panorama, and breakfast and Executive Lounge access depend on what you book. The waterfront position also means a longer walk to some Central and Soho restaurants than the address might suggest. It’s a strong pick for service-focused couples, families and business travelers; we’d look elsewhere for intimate boutique character or nightlife immediately outside.

• Best for: service-focused luxury travelers; families wanting pools and spacious rooms; business travelers based in Central

• Watch out for: harbour views require the right room category; check breakfast and lounge inclusions; some Central dining requires a longer walk

• Location: Connected to IFC mall, with convenient rail and ferry access; not directly amid Soho’s restaurants.

• Rooms: Deluxe Peak-View rooms measure 45 square metres; guests consistently praise comfort and upkeep.

• Cleanliness: A standout strength across recent guest feedback, including strong housekeeping praise.

• Service: Repeated praise for attentive, proactive staff across reception, housekeeping and dining.

• Amenities: Two outdoor pools, a spa, fitness facilities and Michelin-starred restaurants support the luxury billing.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast, valet parking and rollaway beds can cost extra; lounge access is not universal.
