Hotels in HersheyA simple 3-star chain hotel for drive-to-Hershey trips
7.8/10
An improving Hershey base with friendly staff, but a patchy track record.
This simple 3-star Comfort Inn is a good pick for Hershey trips when you have a car. The hotel advertises renovated accommodations, and 2026 Expedia and Hotels.com guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, updated bathrooms and helpful staff. Free hot breakfast and parking make it practical for families, with an indoor pool adding appeal. We'd give the recent improvement more weight than its older reputation, without calling it consistently excellent yet.
The caveat is that 2025 Booking.com reviews reproduced by Planet of Hotels describe repeated cleanliness problems and pool closures. Recent feedback is much stronger, although several guests still find the beds uncomfortable. Confirm pool availability if swimming matters: a March 2026 guest reported a renovation-related closure, while later guests describe using it. We'd skip it for walk-to-the-park convenience or if a reliably comfortable mattress is your top priority.

Best for: Hershey-bound families with a car; Road-trip overnight stops; Travelers wanting breakfast and parking included
Watch out for: Mixed feedback on mattress comfort; Older cleanliness problems and pool closures; Driving required for Hershey attractions
Location: A roadside base off US-22; guests commonly report roughly a 15-minute drive to Hersheypark.
Rooms: Updated bathrooms earn praise; rooms have fridges and microwaves, but mattress comfort divides guests.
Cleanliness: Strong 2026 feedback contrasts with repeated complaints in summer 2025.
Service: Recent guests repeatedly praise friendly, accommodating front-desk staff.
Amenities: Free hot breakfast, WiFi, indoor pool and gym; later 2026 guests report enjoying the pool.
Fees and surprises: Parking is free; Choice advertises pet-friendly stays, but booking-site policies conflict, so confirm pet terms directly.
