Axel's take: 8.8/10

Generous rooms and strong service make this a dependable Zone 14 base. an upscale, apartment-style hotel in residential Zone 14, scored for what it is.

Adriatika is an upscale, apartment-style hotel in residential Zone 14, and it's a strong pick for families, business trips and airport stopovers. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise spacious rooms, attentive staff and cleanliness; Booking.com's ratings reinforce the comfort and housekeeping strengths. The heated outdoor pool, hot tub and gym give it more appeal than a straightforward overnight hotel, while larger suites and apartments suit longer stays.

The trade-off is a quieter residential base rather than a sightseeing hub. Some guests flag noisy air-conditioning, so light sleepers should raise that before arrival. Don't assume every room has a fully equipped kitchen, and confirm whether breakfast and airport transportation are included. We'd choose it for space and practical comfort, not for being in the middle of the action.

• Best for: families needing extra space; business travelers and longer stays; comfortable airport stopovers

• Watch out for: some reports of noisy air-conditioning; kitchen facilities vary by room; airport transfers may cost extra

• Location: Residential Zone 14; the hotel estimates 10–15 minutes to the airport, depending on traffic.

• Rooms: Generous layouts, with separate living areas in larger categories; confirm kitchen equipment before booking.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent reviews, supported by Booking.com's high cleanliness rating.

• Service: Recent feedback strongly favors helpful, attentive staff, despite occasional less-positive experiences.

• Amenities: Heated outdoor pool with built-in jacuzzi, 24-hour gym, dry sauna and Markis restaurant.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is listed as free; breakfast inclusion varies, and transfers and pets can incur additional charges.
