Axel's take: 8.3/10

A strong Chapultepec base for nightlife, less convincing for uninterrupted sleep. a simple, modern hotel on Guadalajara’s nightlife-heavy Chapultepec Avenue, scored for what it is.

Listed here as Selina Guadalajara, this address now operates as Hotel Olá Chapultepec, a simple, modern hotel rather than a luxury stay. It’s a strong pick for exploring Colonia Americana’s restaurants, cafés and bars on foot. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the helpful staff, comfortable beds and cleanliness, with overall ratings remaining strong. We’d choose it for a lively city break where location and good basics matter most.

The catch is sleep: recent reviews repeatedly mention street nightlife, rooftop music and sound carrying between rooms. Parking is off-site, and guests describe awkward luggage access; travelers needing step-free entry should confirm the exact route before booking. Pet policies also conflict across listings. Light sleepers and anyone seeking a quiet, full-service retreat should look elsewhere.

• Best for: nightlife-focused city breaks; couples exploring Colonia Americana; friends prioritizing walkable restaurants

• Watch out for: street, rooftop and neighboring-room noise; off-site parking and awkward luggage access; conflicting pet policies

• Location: On Chapultepec Avenue, with restaurants, cafés and nightlife close by; nighttime noise is the trade-off.

• Rooms: Modern private rooms in several sizes; comfortable beds earn praise, but sound insulation is a recurring weakness.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor feedback.

• Service: Guests repeatedly praise friendly, responsive staff, though luggage assistance is less consistent.

• Amenities: Current listings confirm air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour desk and coworking space; do not assume every former Selina facility remains.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is off-site; confirm pet permission and charges directly. A May 2026 guest reported work opposite the hotel, but its current status is unverified.
