Axel's take: 7.7/10

A convenient Chapultepec base, with friendly staff but uneven upkeep and soundproofing. a practical 3-star business hotel beside Chapultepec, scored for what it is.

Hotel Laffayette Ejecutivo is a practical 3-star business hotel in Colonia Americana, best chosen for convenience rather than polished interiors. It's a good pick for short work trips or CAS appointments, with Chapultepec's restaurants and bars nearby. Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the location and helpful staff, and many recent reviews describe clean, comfortable rooms. Free parking adds useful value.

The trade-offs are upkeep and quiet: recent guests mention thin walls, elevator noise and maintenance issues, while some report shower problems or drain odors. The hotel advertises a pool, but guests reported it closed in late 2025 and again in July 2026; confirm reopening before counting on it. Check whether breakfast is included, too. We'd skip it for a pool-focused break or if undisturbed sleep matters more than location.

• Best for: short business trips; travelers attending CAS appointments; visitors exploring Chapultepec

• Watch out for: thin walls and elevator noise; uneven room and bathroom maintenance; pool reopening not confirmed

• Location: Beside Chapultepec in Colonia Americana, with restaurants, bars and the CAS nearby.

• Rooms: Generally described as comfortable, but soundproofing and bathroom upkeep are inconsistent.

• Cleanliness: Mostly positive recent feedback, though some guests report drain odors.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength across several review sites.

• Amenities: Restaurant, free Wi-Fi and parking; the advertised pool has recent closure reports.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast may cost extra; pets incur a fee; confirm pool availability directly.
