Axel's take: 8.7/10

A strong adults-only pick for Providencia, with welcoming staff and a parking catch. an adults-only mid-range boutique hotel in Providencia, scored for what it is.

FCH Providencia is an adults-only, mid-range boutique hotel that looks particularly good for travelers who value neighborhood restaurants over downtown sightseeing. We'd pick it for its comfortable rooms, personable service and good value: recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the cleanliness, helpful staff and convenient Providencia location. The pool and terrace are useful extras rather than reasons to expect a resort.

The main catch is parking: the official website advertises private parking, but Expedia and guest accounts say there is no on-site lot. Get arrangements confirmed before bringing a car. Some guests also report room-specific air-conditioning or dampness issues, and light sleepers should request a room away from the elevator. It's a strong base for couples and business travelers; families with children need somewhere else.

• Best for: couples wanting an adults-only stay; business travelers visiting Providencia; travelers who enjoy nearby restaurants

• Watch out for: conflicting parking information; occasional room-maintenance complaints; noise near the elevator

• Location: Providencia restaurants are a recurring highlight; choose it for this neighborhood rather than downtown sightseeing.

• Rooms: Generally comfortable and well sized, though some guests report weak air-conditioning or dampness.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall praise across recent reviews, with occasional housekeeping lapses rather than a dominant problem.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are one of the most consistent strengths across sources.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, terrace, gym and free Wi-Fi; confirm restaurant hours, as a recent guest reported breakfast-only service.

• Fees and surprises: Adults only; breakfast and airport drop-off cost extra, and advertised private parking needs direct confirmation.
