Axel's take: 7.2/10

A convenient Andares base, but the rebrand hasn't erased uneven upkeep and noise. A mid-range business hotel near Andares shopping and nightlife, scored for what it is.

This mid-range business hotel works best when proximity to Andares matters more than a polished stay. Formerly Wyndham Garden, it became Courtyard by Marriott on December 1, 2025. Shopping, restaurants and nightlife are the main draw, and recent Hotels.com guests repeatedly praise helpful staff and breakfast. We'd consider it for a short business or shopping trip, rather than a hotel-centered getaway.

The catch is uneven condition: Marriott still lists unrenovated room categories, and guests across sites describe worn or dirty corridors, maintenance problems and noise from nearby bars. Other recent visitors report good stays, so this isn't uniformly poor—just inconsistent. Request a renovated room away from nightlife. Marriott lists October 15, 2026, as the Bistro and Kitchen & Bar reopening date; confirm service after the refurbishment. We'd skip it if quiet nights and reliably fresh interiors are priorities.

• Best for: Short business trips around Andares; Shopping and dining weekends; Travelers prioritizing location over polish

• Watch out for: Noise from nearby bars; Renovated and unrenovated rooms; Uneven housekeeping and maintenance

• Location: Convenient for Andares shopping, restaurants and nightlife; less suited to a historic-center-focused stay.

• Rooms: Room condition varies; request a renovated room away from bars and confirm the category.

• Cleanliness: Some guests report clean rooms, but dirty corridors and worn finishes recur across sources.

• Service: Recent guests often praise helpful staff, though problem handling receives mixed feedback.

• Amenities: A 24-hour gym, business facilities and dining; confirm restaurant service following the scheduled October reopening.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast is not automatically complimentary; Marriott lists off-site parking rather than on-site parking.
