Hotels in Gold CoastAn older 4-star high-rise hotel in central Surfers Paradise
7.1/10
Good for beach access and balcony views, less convincing for quiet or polished comfort.
Mantra on View is an older 4-star high-rise whose strongest asset is its central Surfers Paradise location. We'd consider it for a beach-and-nightlife break: the sand, restaurants and tram are a short walk away, and rooms have private balconies with city or ocean outlooks. Recent Expedia and Accor guests regularly praise helpful staff, comfortable beds and clean rooms. It's a practical base rather than a polished resort.
The recurring compromises are tired furnishings and noise, especially from neighboring Cali Beach Club on weekends. Cleaning earns broadly positive ratings, but detailed housekeeping complaints recur. The hotel confirms its spa deck is closed, and there is no hotel swimming pool. Early-morning hallway flooring work and drilling were reported in October 2026, with management acknowledging the flooring disturbance; check the current schedule before booking. We'd skip it for a quiet family resort holiday or reliably fresh interiors.
