Axel's take: 7.6/10
A convenient beach-holiday base, but the rooms don't consistently deliver four-star polish. An older 4-star high-rise near the beach in central Surfers Paradise, scored for what it is.
Mantra Legends is an older 4-star high-rise that makes most sense for a beach break without a car. The beach, restaurants and tram are close, and balconies add appeal. We'd choose it for convenience rather than design: recent Expedia, Tripadvisor and Accor guests repeatedly praise the location, helpful staff and breakfast buffet. The pool is another dependable draw, and the overall feedback remains broadly positive.
The trade-off is uneven room condition. Recent guests across those sites describe dated bathrooms and furnishings; Accor and Tripadvisor also carry repeated complaints about stained carpets and housekeeping misses. Plenty of guests report clean, comfortable rooms, so this isn't a universal problem, but we'd skip it if consistently fresh interiors matter most. Parking costs extra and spaces are limited; the hotel is cashless.
