Axel's take: 7.1/10

A practical Dokki base with helpful staff, but uneven room standards. a basic, older 3-star in Dokki, scored for what it is.

Santana is a basic, older 3-star in Dokki, best treated as a sightseeing base rather than somewhere to linger. We'd consider it for straightforward comfort and nearby restaurants: recent guests repeatedly praise the reception team, and many describe spacious rooms, comfortable beds and a generous Egyptian-style breakfast. Booking.com’s overall feedback is broadly positive, though Tripadvisor is noticeably less enthusiastic.

The trade-off is consistency. Dated furnishings recur across reviews, while some guests report tired bathrooms or noisy air conditioning. Cleanliness earns plenty of praise on booking sites, but two November 2025 Tripadvisor reviews describe dirty rooms and common areas. Wi-Fi can also be fiddly. It suits travelers who prioritize location and helpful staff over polish; we'd skip it if reliably fresh rooms are essential.

• Best for: budget-minded sightseers; travelers joining group tours; short stays in Dokki

• Watch out for: dated furnishings and uneven upkeep; conflicting cleanliness reports; fiddly Wi-Fi access

• Location: Dokki neighborhood with nearby restaurants; Expedia places Dokki metro about 13 minutes away on foot.

• Rooms: Often spacious and comfortable, but furnishings are dated and bathroom upkeep varies.

• Cleanliness: Mostly positive on booking sites, with sharply conflicting November 2025 Tripadvisor reports.

• Service: Helpful reception staff are the clearest recurring strength in 2025–2026 reviews.

• Amenities: Restaurant, breakfast buffet, elevator and 24-hour reception; Expedia lists free Wi-Fi and parking.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast inclusion depends on the booking; the supplied website explicitly says it is independent, not official.
