Axel's take: 8.6/10

Generous rooms and attentive service, but traffic noise takes the shine off. a traditional five-star luxury hotel on Giza’s Nile bank, scored for what it is.

This traditional five-star in Giza’s First Mall complex is a strong pick for spacious rooms and attentive hospitality rather than cutting-edge design. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the staff and cleanliness; marble bathrooms and generous room sizes reinforce the luxury credentials. The outdoor pool, spa and nearby First Nile Boat restaurants give you good reasons to spend downtime here between sightseeing trips.

The main reservation is sleep: traffic noise recurs across Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews, including complaints from higher floors. Some guests also find the ornate decor dated, and restaurant service gets occasional criticism. The hotel says the neighboring Giza Zoo is undergoing renovation, so don’t count on visiting it. We’d choose it for classic comfort and dining, but skip it if quiet nights or contemporary interiors are priorities.

• Best for: travelers who prefer classic luxury; families wanting spacious rooms; guests who prioritize attentive service

• Watch out for: traffic noise, even on higher floors; traditional decor can feel dated; neighboring Giza Zoo under renovation

• Location: On the Giza side of the Nile, attached to First Mall; expect road transfers for major sightseeing.

• Rooms: Spacious, traditionally furnished rooms with marble bathrooms; sound insulation draws recurring criticism.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Tripadvisor and recent Expedia feedback.

• Service: Staff earn substantial praise, with occasional complaints about restaurant responsiveness.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, spa, fitness centre, direct mall access and nearby First Nile Boat dining.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and airport transfers cost extra; breakfast inclusion depends on your booking.
