Axel's take: 7.9/10

Helpful staff and a pleasant pool, but room quality and noise need weighing. a large, mid-range 4-star in busy Giza, scored for what it is.

Azal Pyramids is a large, mid-range 4-star in busy Giza: a practical sightseeing base rather than a polished retreat. We'd consider it for good value and helpful service. Tripadvisor and Booking.com ratings are strong overall, with staff hospitality a consistent highlight. The courtyard pool, restaurant and spa give you somewhere to unwind after excursions, though the pyramids are a drive away, not on the doorstep.

The trade-offs are uneven rooms and interrupted sleep. Recent guests describe both clean, comfortable accommodation and dated bathrooms, maintenance faults and housekeeping misses; street traffic and poolside entertainment also recur. September 2026 Tripadvisor reviews still mention construction outside, following earlier reports of subway works. Ask for a recently renovated room away from entertainment, and confirm access arrangements. We'd skip it for guaranteed quiet, consistently polished rooms or exploring central Cairo on foot.

• Best for: value-minded sightseeing travelers; tour groups with arranged transport; travelers wanting a pool between excursions

• Watch out for: street and poolside noise; uneven room condition and housekeeping; construction outside reported in September 2026

• Location: Useful for Giza excursions by car; busy surroundings and less convenient for central Cairo.

• Rooms: Comfortable for many, but dated bathrooms and maintenance complaints persist; request a renovated room.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall ratings, tempered by several recent reports of inconsistent room cleaning.

• Service: Helpful reception, guest-relations and restaurant staff are the clearest recurring strength.

• Amenities: Outdoor courtyard pool, restaurant, bar, spa and free Wi-Fi; buffet feedback is mixed.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and airport transfers carry charges; confirm breakfast inclusion and current construction access.
