Axel's take: 8.3/10

A dependable Fresno stopover, with strong housekeeping and a few extra charges. a practical 3-star business hotel in North Fresno, scored for what it is.

Courtyard Fresno is a practical 3-star business hotel that gets the important things right: clean, comfortable rooms and helpful staff. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise both, and Tripadvisor’s June 2026 review echoes that picture. We’d pick it for a work trip, college visit or overnight stop rather than a destination stay. The outdoor pool, gym and Bistro give it enough substance beyond a bed, while Marriott highlights a renovated lobby.

The trade-offs are mostly practical. Breakfast isn’t complimentary, parking costs extra, and some rooms pick up road noise; light sleepers should request a room away from the highway. This is a car-oriented base, not the best choice for exploring Fresno on foot. We’d skip it if included breakfast and a walkable neighborhood matter more than reliable hotel basics.

• Best for: business travelers; Fresno State visitors with a car; road-trip stopovers

• Watch out for: road noise in highway-facing rooms; paid parking; breakfast not included

• Location: North Fresno near Highway 41 and Fashion Fair Mall; a car is useful.

• Rooms: Recent guests praise spacious, comfortable rooms; quieter positioning matters.

• Cleanliness: Consistent recent praise makes housekeeping a clear strength.

• Service: Friendly, responsive staff earn repeated positive mentions across sites.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, fitness center and Bistro; Marriott advertises a renovated lobby.

• Fees and surprises: On-site parking and breakfast cost extra; pet stays also carry fees.
