Hotel Elev8 is a refreshed, budget-friendly 3-star just off I-40, and we'd pick it for a practical Flagstaff stop rather than a hotel-centered vacation. Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and friendly staff. Microwaves, mini-fridges and free parking make it useful for road trips, while restaurants nearby save another drive. The older building hasn't disappeared, but the updated rooms generally deliver good value.
The main caveat is the outdoor pool: the hotel's website still flags its summer 2026 renovation closure, and reopening is unconfirmed. Recent Expedia guests also mention worn common areas. There's no elevator, downtown is a drive away, and dogs carry a nightly fee. We'd skip it if swimming or a walkable downtown stay is essential.
