Americana is a retro-styled mid-range motel, and a strong pick for a Flagstaff road trip. The disco balls and bold colors get attention, but recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests also praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and welcoming staff. Its heated outdoor pool, fire pits, lawn games and fenced dog area give families and pet owners useful reasons to linger. This is more than a basic overnight stop, without pretending to be luxury.
The trade-offs are still motel ones: exterior room entrances, compact smaller rooms and upstairs walk-up access. Some guests report noise from neighboring rooms, though others find it quiet. Downtown is about two miles away, so we'd choose somewhere central for evenings on foot. A mandatory nightly amenity fee applies, and routine housekeeping is every third day rather than daily. We'd skip it if privacy and full-service convenience matter most.
