Axel's take: 8.0/10
Choose it for central Copenhagen and sociable extras, not spacious, reliably cool rooms. a design-led 4-star boutique hotel near Tivoli and City Hall, scored for what it is.
Hotel Danmark is a design-led 4-star boutique hotel near Tivoli, City Hall and the National Museum. It’s a strong pick for a short Copenhagen break: you can explore much of the center on foot, then return to an inviting bar and complimentary wine and nightcap hours. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, cleanliness and organic breakfast; the rooftop adds another reason to linger.
The trade-off is bedroom comfort. Small Double rooms measure just 12 square meters, and recurring summer complaints concern overheating: management confirms there is no air conditioning, despite some listings suggesting otherwise. Opening windows can bring outside noise, and breakfast can get busy. We’d choose a larger room and favor cooler months; skip it if spacious rooms, dependable cooling or undisturbed sleep are essential.
-
