Axel's take

a simple, dinosaur-themed 3-star hotel near Tokyo Disney Resort

8.3/10

A good-value Disney base, with dinosaur fun and a shuttle timetable to work around.

Henn na is a simple 3-star in Urayasu, built around dinosaur-robot check-in rather than resort facilities. It's a strong pick for budget-conscious Disney trips: Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, helpful human staff and the child-friendly novelty. Separate baths and toilets in most rooms are genuinely useful for families, and nearby convenience stores make inexpensive meals easy.

The practical compromise is transport. The free shuttle serves Maihama Station, not the park gates, with limited departures and first-come seating; have a public-bus backup. Rooms can feel tight with several suitcases, and some guests find the beds firm. We'd skip it for spacious lounging or a central-Tokyo sightseeing base. Note the scheduled building-wide outage on November 7, 2026, from noon to 1 p.m., affecting lifts, power and bathroom facilities.

Best for

  • budget-conscious Disney visitors
  • families with dinosaur-loving children
  • short stays focused on the parks

Watch out for

  • limited, first-come shuttle departures
  • compact rooms and firm beds
  • November 7, 2026 midday utility outage
Location
In Urayasu, not central Tokyo; roughly 20 minutes on foot to Maihama Station, with local buses nearby.
Rooms
Standard twins are about 18 square meters; most rooms separate bath and toilet, but luggage space can be tight.
Cleanliness
A consistent strength across recent reviews, backed by strong Booking.com and Expedia cleanliness ratings.
Service
Robot-led check-in has human backup around the clock; guests generally find staff helpful.
Amenities
Breakfast buffet, free Wi-Fi, coin laundry and station shuttle; the restaurant does not serve lunch or dinner.
Fees and surprises
Parking and breakfast cost extra unless included; November 7, 2026 has a scheduled noon–1 p.m. building-wide outage.
