Axel's take: 8.5/10

Strong value near Ayala, with welcoming staff and some room-to-room inconsistency. a full-service 3-star city hotel near Ayala Center Cebu, scored for what it is.

Quest is a full-service 3-star city hotel that delivers strongly on convenience and value. Ayala Center is roughly five minutes away on foot, and the outdoor pool, gym and Puso restaurant give it more substance than a basic overnight stop. Recent Tripadvisor, Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, comfortable beds and cleanliness; the breakfast buffet also earns consistent approval. We'd shortlist it for a practical Cebu city stay.

The trade-offs are uneven room condition and sound insulation rather than a lack of facilities. Guests on Tripadvisor and Trip.com mention street or adjoining-room noise, and some report worn bathroom finishes or towels. Standard rooms are 25 square meters, so families needing space should consider a suite. We'd skip it if dependable quiet or uniformly fresh interiors matter more than location and value.

• Best for: value-minded city travelers; shoppers wanting Ayala nearby; short business stays

• Watch out for: street and adjoining-room noise; uneven room and bathroom condition; incidental deposit at check-in

• Location: About five minutes on foot from Ayala Center; guests note that crossing the busy road takes care.

• Rooms: Standard rooms are 25 square meters; comfortable beds, but some wear and noise complaints.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback across sites, despite occasional housekeeping lapses.

• Service: Welcoming, helpful staff are one of the most consistent strengths in recent reviews.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, gym, Puso restaurant and meeting facilities; breakfast variety draws praise.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists an incidental deposit; breakfast inclusion varies, and airport transfers cost extra.
