Roomy suites and helpful staff make this a solid suburban base. a practical 3-star Hilton extended-stay hotel in suburban Birmingham, scored for what it is.

This 3-star Hilton extended-stay hotel is a strong pick for families and longer visits around Grandview Medical Center and the Colonnade business district. Spacious suites with kitchens, free parking and included breakfast make it practical rather than fancy. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise comfortable rooms, cleanliness and helpful staff. Hilton now labels the property recently renovated, an encouraging update after earlier reports of worn furnishings.

The main compromise is consistency. Tripadvisor guests describe breakfast shortages and uneven replenishment, while some reviews flag stained upholstery or housekeeping misses; these are caveats rather than the dominant picture. Breakfast is useful, but not a reason to choose the hotel. We'd book it for space and suburban convenience, and skip it for a downtown sightseeing trip without a car.

• Best for: families wanting extra space; extended business stays; Grandview Medical Center visitors

• Watch out for: uneven breakfast replenishment; occasional housekeeping and upholstery complaints; car-dependent suburban base

• Location: Convenient for Colonnade businesses, Grandview Medical Center and nearby shopping; less suited to downtown sightseeing.

• Rooms: Spacious kitchen-equipped suites; Hilton says recently renovated, though earlier guests reported worn furnishings.

• Cleanliness: Recent Expedia feedback is predominantly positive, with scattered reports of stains and cleaning misses.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise, especially in recent Expedia reviews.

• Amenities: Included hot breakfast, outdoor pool, fitness center, free Wi-Fi and on-site EV charging.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is free; pets incur a nonrefundable fee that increases for longer stays; no airport shuttle.
