4.9/10
Airport convenience does not outweigh recurring cleanliness and maintenance problems.
This budget 3-star near Birmingham–Shuttlesworth Airport is convenient, but we'd treat it as a last-resort stopover rather than a dependable Ramada. Wyndham confirms a free airport shuttle and rooms with microwaves and mini-fridges. Some 2026 Expedia guests describe clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff, so satisfactory stays do happen. However, Tripadvisor guests and Google reviews reproduced on Birdeye repeatedly describe dirty bathrooms, musty smells and neglected maintenance—not just dated decor.
The advertised extras are unreliable, too. Recent Expedia guests report a closed kitchen and canceled breakfasts; Tripadvisor guests also question restaurant availability. Expedia lists the outdoor pool as seasonal through September, so it is outside its advertised season in October. Confirm shuttle arrangements and food service directly. We'd skip it for longer stays, family trips or anyone who needs consistently clean, well-maintained rooms.

Airport convenience does not outweigh recurring cleanliness and maintenance problems. A budget 3-star airport hotel with worn facilities, scored for what it is.
Best for: last-resort airport stopovers; travelers prioritizing airport proximity
Watch out for: recurring cleanliness and musty-odor complaints; unreliable breakfast and restaurant availability; worn rooms and maintenance problems
Location: Close to Birmingham–Shuttlesworth Airport; better suited to flight connections than downtown sightseeing.
Rooms: Microwaves and mini-fridges are advertised; guests repeatedly describe worn bathrooms and inconsistent upkeep.
Cleanliness: Some clean-room praise, but dirty bathrooms and musty or smoky odors recur across sources.
Service: Friendly staff receive praise, though check-in and problem handling are inconsistent.
Amenities: Free airport shuttle, gym and Wi-Fi; confirm food service, and expect the seasonal pool to be unavailable in October.
Fees and surprises: Self-parking is listed as free; extended parking, early check-in and late checkout carry charges.
