#8 of 9 hotels in Lara by Axel's take. Lara is #5 of 6 places to stay in Antalya. The best hotels in Lara, ranked · Where to stay in Antalya

Axel's take: 7.1/10

A practical Lara base, but don't expect a polished all-inclusive resort. a small mid-range city hotel in Lara, not a beachfront resort, scored for what it is.

Laren Family is a small mid-range city hotel in Lara, better suited to exploring Antalya than settling into a beach resort. We'd consider it for the nearby cafés, restaurants and coastal walks. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, and plenty report clean rooms and a well-kept pool. Those strengths make it a reasonable base, rather than a destination hotel.

The compromises are worth understanding before booking. Reviews across sites flag worn carpets, bathroom maintenance issues and uneven food; even satisfied guests warn about poor soundproofing. The pool area is small, with complaints about limited loungers. Despite some listings describing it as beachfront, beach access involves a shuttle to an affiliated beach, where refreshments aren't included. We'd skip it for a quiet retreat or a seamless all-inclusive family holiday.

Best for: travelers exploring Antalya; couples who enjoy eating locally; short city stays
Watch out for: poor soundproofing and worn room fittings; small pool area with limited loungers; off-site beach and restricted all-inclusive benefits
Location: Walkable Lara neighborhood near cafés and the coastal path; the swimming beach requires transport.
Rooms: Air-conditioned rooms offer the basics, but recent guests report tired fittings and bathroom maintenance problems.
Cleanliness: Many guests praise daily cleaning, though recent reports of dirty rooms and worn communal carpets make consistency a concern.
Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise, balanced by complaints about reception and problem handling.
Amenities: Small outdoor pool; the hotel advertises a gym, sauna and steam room, with massages charged separately.
Fees and surprises: Confirm your meal plan, included drinks and beach-shuttle arrangements; beach refreshments and spa treatments cost extra.
