Hyatt Place Ann Arbor is a modern, select-service 3-star that gets the important things right: comfortable rooms, strong cleanliness and generally helpful staff. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the spacious layouts, beds and breakfast, while Booking.com’s cleanliness and comfort scores reinforce that picture. Two-king rooms, some with sofa beds, make it particularly practical for families. The indoor pool, included breakfast and lobby bar round out a very good package for its class.
The main compromise is location: this is a shopping-and-highway base, not a downtown stay where you can walk everywhere. Plan on transportation for central campus and downtown outings. Parking also carries a daily charge, despite older information advertising it as free. We’d choose it for family or business visits; skip it if downtown walkability matters most.
