Axel's take: 8.3/10

A comfortable transport base, with roadworks currently complicating the station walk. a modern 4-star business hotel beside Sloterdijk station, scored for what it is.

This modern 4-star in Amsterdam’s Sloterdijk business district is a strong pick if you prefer practical comfort to a canal-side address. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff; recent Trip.com reviews broadly agree. Trains put Amsterdam Centraal one stop away, making this a useful base for sightseeing and regional trips. A gym and well-liked breakfast buffet round out the offer.

The biggest current catch is Naritaweg–Radarweg road construction: guests report awkward station detours, and the city schedules work through December 24, 2026. Check the walking route before arriving with luggage. The surrounding district offers less atmosphere and dining choice than central Amsterdam, and some guests flag splash-prone showers. We’d skip it for a walk-everywhere romantic break; for transit-minded travelers, it delivers well.

• Best for: sightseers comfortable using trains; business travelers; families taking regional day trips

• Watch out for: roadworks disrupting station access; business-district setting outside the historic center; splash-prone showers in some rooms

• Location: Excellent rail connections, but current roadworks lengthen the normally short station walk.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and modern furnishings draw praise; some guests find the shower layout impractical.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and recent Trip.com reviews.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring positive across several review sites.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour gym, breakfast buffet and limited covered parking.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast and parking cost extra; Expedia also lists city tax and a nightly service fee—check your booking inclusions.
