Axel's take: 8.3/10

A strong longer-stay base if you bring transport and expect weekly housekeeping. a practical 3-star extended-stay aparthotel in suburban Badhoevedorp, scored for what it is.

This 3-star aparthotel in Badhoevedorp makes more sense for a working week than an Amsterdam city break. With a six-night minimum, kitchenettes and laundry facilities, it is built for settling in rather than overnight airport stops. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, spacious rooms and cleanliness; Booking.com’s strong cleanliness and service scores support that picture. We’d shortlist it for an independent longer stay.

The compromises are location and limited servicing. Guests on Expedia and Tripadvisor recommend having a car: sightseeing by public transport takes more planning than the Amsterdam address suggests. Cleaning comes after six nights, with extra towels and additional cleaning charged separately. Kitchenettes include a microwave and fridge, but check cooking equipment before planning proper meals. We’d skip it for a short city break or daily hotel-style attention.

• Best for: longer-stay business travelers; self-sufficient guests with a car; families needing connecting studios

• Watch out for: six-night minimum stay; inconvenient for car-free sightseeing; weekly cleaning; extra towels cost more

• Location: Suburban Badhoevedorp, not central Amsterdam; guests repeatedly find a car useful.

• Rooms: Studios start at 25 m² with twin beds, microwave, fridge and air conditioning; some apartments combine connecting studios.

• Cleanliness: Generally strong recent feedback and an 8.8 Booking.com cleanliness score, despite some less positive Tripadvisor reports.

• Service: Helpful staff are a recurring strength in recent Expedia reviews; the official directory lists round-the-clock host assistance.

• Amenities: Gym, laundry facilities, billiards, bike rental and a 24-hour self-service food market rather than full restaurant service.

• Fees and surprises: On-site parking, additional cleaning and extra towel packages carry charges; the minimum stay is six nights.
