Axel's take: 7.5/10

Friendly staff and airport convenience outweigh tired rooms for a short stay. a small, independent 3-star hotel near Accra’s airport, scored for what it is.

Lavender Lodge is a small, independent 3-star in Airport Residential Area, best suited to a straightforward stopover rather than a stylish city break. The hotel describes just 12 bedrooms, with a pool, garden and restaurant. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests consistently praise the helpful reception team, while cleanliness generally earns good feedback. We'd consider it for a quiet, personal alternative to a bigger airport hotel.

The catch is condition: several 2025–2026 reviews describe dated furniture, worn finishes and fixtures needing attention; an April 2026 guest also reported air-conditioning problems. Those complaints temper otherwise positive overall ratings. Continental breakfast is listed as included, but confirm cooked extras and airport-transfer charges before arrival. It's a sensible short-stay option if warmth matters more than polish; we'd skip it for modern interiors or reliably well-maintained rooms.

• Best for: overnight airport stopovers; travelers who prefer small hotels; short business stays

• Watch out for: dated furniture and worn finishes; reported air-conditioning and maintenance issues; airport-transfer charges need confirming

• Location: Quiet Airport Residential setting, roughly a 10-minute drive from the airport; some restaurants are walkable.

• Rooms: Air-conditioned rooms with Wi-Fi and fridges, but recent guests repeatedly flag aging decor and maintenance needs.

• Cleanliness: Generally praised, although recent feedback is not uniformly positive.

• Service: Helpful, welcoming reception staff are the most consistent strength across guest-review sites.

• Amenities: Small outdoor pool, garden, restaurant, bar and free parking; Expedia lists the pool as seasonal.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists paid airport transfers and early/late checkout; Booking.com describes a free shuttle, so confirm directly.
