Axel's take: 7.7/10

A practical budget base where metro convenience outweighs cramped rooms. a no-frills 2-star beside Paraíso metro, scored for what it is.

This no-frills 2-star beside Paraíso metro is a good pick for short stays spent out exploring São Paulo. Its strongest asset is getting around easily, with restaurants and the Paulista area within reach. Recent Expedia and Accor guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, and room cleanliness generally earns positive feedback. We'd choose it for convenience rather than somewhere to linger.

The compromises are real: rooms are around 12 square meters, bathrooms are especially tight, and several guests describe tired finishes. Breakfast gets plenty of praise, but the dining area can become crowded. Standard rooms lack the minibar advertised for Superior rooms, so choose carefully. Breakfast, parking and even luggage storage cost extra. We'd skip it for longer stays or anyone who needs generous space and more than the basics.

• Best for: budget-minded metro users; solo travelers on short stays; visitors to nearby hospitals

• Watch out for: tiny rooms and bathrooms; crowded breakfast area; paid luggage storage

• Location: Beside Paraíso metro; guests warn the closest station entrance closes at night.

• Rooms: Around 12 square meters; Superior rooms add a minibar, while Standard rooms are more basic.

• Cleanliness: Generally praised on Expedia, though Booking.com feedback is more moderate.

• Service: Helpful, friendly staff are a recurring strength across recent reviews.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, optional breakfast and a 24-hour convenience shop.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast, parking, pets and luggage storage carry separate charges.
