Axel's take: 7.8/10

A useful Congonhas stopover, but room condition still varies. a practical 4-star airport hotel with rooms and apartment-style suites, scored for what it is.

This practical 4-star airport hotel, now marketed as eSuites Transamerica Congonhas, is a good pick when catching a flight matters more than exploring São Paulo on foot. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the breakfast and airport convenience, while Tripadvisor reviews frequently single out helpful staff. Included breakfast, heated pools and a gym make it more useful than a basic overnight stop.

The catch is consistency: recent guests still describe worn rooms and maintenance faults alongside much happier reports. Renovations have improved the property, but April 2026 reporting scheduled remaining room work through year-end; confirm the current situation and request a renovated room. Parking costs extra, and airport-shuttle arrangements deserve checking before arrival. We'd choose it for a short business stay or flight connection, not for polished four-star surroundings throughout.

• Best for: Congonhas flight connections; short business stays; families wanting pools

• Watch out for: uneven room condition; remaining renovation work planned through late 2026; paid parking; confirm airport-shuttle arrangements

• Location: The hotel puts Congonhas Airport about 550 metres away; airport convenience is its main draw.

• Rooms: Standard rooms and larger suites; request a renovated unit because upkeep remains uneven.

• Cleanliness: Broadly positive on Booking.com and Expedia, though some guests report poorly kept rooms.

• Service: Helpful staff earn frequent praise, with occasional complaints about reception organization and problem handling.

• Amenities: The official site lists included breakfast, Wi-Fi, heated indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, gym and 24-hour room service.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is extra; confirm remaining renovation work, shuttle procedures and whether your booking is hotel-managed rather than a private flat.
