Axel's take: 8.9/10

A strong north-side pick for clean rooms, welcoming staff and useful extras. a limited-service, budget-friendly chain hotel in north Spokane, scored for what it is.

This limited-service Best Western Plus gets the important things right for a straightforward, budget-friendly stay. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, spacious rooms, genuinely helpful staff and a well-stocked hot breakfast. Free parking and an indoor pool and hot tub add practical value, especially for families. We'd put it high on the list for Whitworth University visits or trips centered on north Spokane.

The main compromise is location: nearby shopping and restaurants are useful, but this isn't a walk-out-the-door downtown base. Housekeeping also isn't necessarily daily; guests on both Expedia and Tripadvisor describe needing to request towels or supplies during longer stays. Pet-friendly rooms carry an extra charge, and the hotel's published policy excludes guests living within 40 miles. We'd skip it for a car-free city break, but it's a strong choice for travelers with a vehicle.

• Best for: Whitworth University visitors; families traveling by car; north Spokane stays

• Watch out for: Not a downtown sightseeing base; Request housekeeping and supplies as needed; Published 40-mile residency restriction

• Location: Near Whitworth, shopping and restaurants; a vehicle is useful for downtown visits.

• Rooms: Guests generally describe spacious, comfortable rooms; refrigerator and microwave options are listed.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent reviews, despite occasional individual housekeeping complaints.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise across Expedia, Tripadvisor and Booking.com.

• Amenities: Included hot breakfast, indoor pool, hot tub, gym, Wi-Fi and free parking.

• Fees and surprises: Pet rooms and EV charging cost extra; published policy requires guests to live at least 40 miles away.
