THE PLAZA is a five-star hotel opposite Seoul City Hall, but it closed on September 30, 2026, for a full renovation, with reopening planned for 2029. Before closure, it was a strong sightseeing base: City Hall subway access, Deoksugung Palace and Myeongdong were major draws. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests consistently praised helpful staff and cleanliness, while breakfast also attracted plenty of positive feedback. Our verdict and score reflect that pre-renovation hotel, not the promised replacement.
