A handy boardwalk base with refreshed rooms, but uneven housekeeping and little soundproofing.
The Vibes is a renovated, motel-style beach hotel, not a full-service resort. Reopened in June 2024 after combining two older properties, it makes most sense for travelers spending their days on the beach and boardwalk nearby. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise the updated rooms and friendly front desk; microwaves, mini-fridges and two seasonal pools cover the practical basics. We’d consider it for a short, location-first shore break.
The renovation hasn’t removed the main motel compromises: small rooms, thin walls, tight paid parking and no elevator. Cleanliness is less consistent than the polished photos suggest: alongside plenty of positive reports, Tripadvisor guests repeatedly describe dirty floors or linens, and housekeeping complaints appear elsewhere too. Expedia lists pool season as May–September, so don’t count on swimming outside those months. We’d skip it if quiet sleep, roomy accommodation or dependable daily housekeeping are priorities.
