7.7/10
A good MSU base with friendly staff, but uneven upkeep warrants caution.
This is a practical 3-star chain hotel near Midwestern State University and Sikes Senter Mall, and we'd consider it for a campus visit or road-trip stop. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, comfortable beds and breakfast. Free parking, WiFi and rooms with microwaves and mini-fridges make it a useful, straightforward base rather than somewhere you'd book for atmosphere.
The catch is consistency. Alongside plenty of clean-room reports, guests describe housekeeping misses and elevator problems; reservation cancellations or unavailable booked rooms also appear across sites. The indoor pool is currently advertised, but Tripadvisor documented a renovation closure in February 2025, so confirm availability if swimming matters. Pet fees apply. We'd skip it if dependable facilities and flawless housekeeping matter more than a convenient location and friendly welcome.
