Hotels in WhitefishA mid-range mountain lodge beside Whitefish Lake Golf Club
7.8/10
Comfortable lodge character and refreshed rooms, but renovations make timing important.
Grouse Mountain Lodge is a mid-range mountain lodge beside Whitefish Lake Golf Club, and a good Whitefish base if you choose a renovated room. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise spacious rooms, helpful staff, cleanliness and the downtown shuttle; Tripadvisor is more mixed. The refreshed south wing is the strongest choice, with lodge-style common areas adding character without making this a luxury resort.
The catches are recurring upstairs noise, older rooms and a phased transformation into Hotel Whitefish. North-wing construction runs October 12, 2026–June 1, 2027. The hotel lists pool closure October 19–26, hot-tub closure October 19–November 2, and Logan’s Bar & Grill closure October 26–December 2, all in 2026. A nightly resort fee and extra-cost breakfast also deserve attention. We'd pick it for a practical outdoor getaway, but skip it if guaranteed quiet or uninterrupted facilities matter most.
