Velas Vallarta in Marina Vallarta gives four people two bedrooms and a kitchen. For maximum space, Grand Miramar above Conchas Chinas has a three-bedroom residence, but outings require transport.

Questions families ask
Should we book two queens or two doubles?
Two queens give each sharing pair more sleeping space. Holiday Inn Express and Flamingo Vallarta both confirm two queens for four guests. Posada de Roger, Rosita, Encino and Buenaventura use two doubles instead. Floor space also matters: Posada de Roger and Encino fit four into about 215 square feet, compared with 395 at Holiday Inn Express.
Can a crib or rollaway make a smaller room work?
Do not rely on an extra bed to make an unsuitable room fit four. Rosita and Encino list neither cribs nor rollaways. Buenaventura accepts crib requests, subject to availability, but does not specify a fee. Holiday Inn Express has conflicting rollaway policies and reports cribs unavailable. Confirm the exact room's permitted occupancy and available floor space directly.
Does a room for four cost much more than a room for two?
The difference varies considerably. Posada de Roger and Rosita show relatively modest increases over their cheapest rooms for two, while Holiday Inn Express has a larger increase. Flamingo Vallarta and Velas Vallarta show much bigger jumps. Compare the full family total, including meals: breakfast is included at Holiday Inn Express, while Rosita may charge separately for children's breakfast.
Which neighborhood is easiest for a family without a car?
Centro and Zona Romántica are the strongest choices for walking to restaurants, the Malecón and, from Posada de Roger, Los Muertos Beach. Marina Vallarta suits airport access and marina dining, but downtown outings need transport. Nuevo Vallarta is better for resort-focused days, while Grand Miramar's steep Conchas Chinas hillside makes beach and town trips less convenient.
Can we have separate bedrooms without booking two hotel rooms?
Yes. Velas Vallarta's Two Bedroom Family Suite combines two bedrooms, a kitchen and two bathrooms within one suite; request twins for the children because that arrangement is not guaranteed. Grand Velas has a two-bedroom Family Suite with a king and two queens. Grand Miramar's three-bedroom residence offers still more space, but requires transport for outings.
