For most families, Hotel Roma Prague in Lesser Town balances four proper beds, space and walkable sights near Petřín Park. Hotel Otakar in the Vyšehrad & Congress Centre area is the lowest-cost choice, but lacks air-conditioning. Orea Hotel Andel’s in Smíchov & Anděl offers the most space, with internal stairs. The Viaduct Suites & More in Karlín gives you separate bedrooms and easy metro access.

Questions families ask
Can we get two queen beds, or will we be sharing doubles?
Do not assume every four-person room has queens. Golden City Garni lists two queens, while Minimino lists two doubles. MOOo and Orea have conflicting double-bed size descriptions, so ask for dimensions. For children who should not share, Viaduct’s king-and-two-singles suite is a clearer choice, with separate bedrooms.
Does a room for four mean one shared sleeping space?
Not necessarily. Viaduct, MOOo, Orea, COLORFACTORY and Aria offer two bedrooms inside one suite or apartment, rather than requiring two rooms. Akcent instead uses a king and a double sofa bed. Check the whole layout: Orea has internal stairs, while Viaduct gives four people one shower bathroom.
Can we add a crib or rollaway?
Request one before booking and confirm the allowance for your exact room. Roma, MOOo, Adler and Charles Central list free cribs, subject to limits, but no rollaways. Minimino lists no cribs. Viaduct lists paid extra beds on request, though permission depends on the suite. A crib listing does not guarantee extra occupancy.
How much more does accommodation for four cost than a double?
There is no reliable fixed supplement to quote for these room types. Compare the total for two adults and both children, with their ages entered, against a double on the same dates. Otakar and Minimino are lower-cost options overall; Aria is a substantial splurge. Check breakfast inclusion and whether a requested extra bed carries a fee.
Which Prague neighborhoods work best for families sharing one room?
Lesser Town suits walking to Charles Bridge and Petřín, though MOOo’s castle-side approach is hilly. Karlín offers useful metro connections at Florenc and Křižíkova. Smíchov’s Anděl is practical for metro, trams and shops. Holešovice puts Stromovka park nearby, while Otakar trades a central address for lower cost and convenient trams.
