#2 of 9 hotels in Lesser Town & Castle District by Axel's take. Lesser Town & Castle District is #2 of 9 places to stay in Prague. The best hotels in Lesser Town & Castle District, ranked · Where to stay in Prague

Axel's take: 9.3/10

Characterful boutique luxury with outstanding service and a prime Lesser Town location. a music-themed five-star boutique hotel in Prague’s Lesser Town, scored for what it is.

Aria is a 51-room, music-themed five-star boutique hotel in Malá Strana, and we'd put it high on the list for a cultured Prague break. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the attentive staff, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and excellent cleanliness. Charles Bridge and Prague Castle are within walking reach, while direct access to Vrtba Garden gives it something genuinely distinctive. The included breakfast earns particularly consistent praise.

The trade-offs are mostly about fit: expect colorful, traditionally styled interiors rather than minimalist luxury. Two standout attractions are seasonal—the garden opens April through October, and the rooftop terrace follows the same season, weather permitting. Parking costs extra and needs reserving. We'd choose it for personal service and character; skip it if contemporary design or year-round outdoor amenities are priorities.

  • Best for: couples on a cultural city break; music and art enthusiasts; travelers who value personal service

  • Watch out for: garden and rooftop access are seasonal; traditional rather than minimalist interiors; paid parking requires advance reservation

  • Location: Walkable Lesser Town base near Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and tram stops.

  • Rooms: Individually music-themed rooms; recent guests frequently praise space and comfortable beds.

  • Cleanliness: Strong ratings across major sites, reinforced by recent praise for upkeep.

  • Service: Warm, attentive staff and helpful concierge service are recurring strengths.

  • Amenities: CODA restaurant, seasonal rooftop and garden access, gym, music library and screening room.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast included; garage parking costs extra and requires booking; city tax also applies.
