Umeda is Osaka's big-city version: department stores, food halls, office towers and a railway network that rewards a day-trip-heavy itinerary. Grand Green Osaka adds welcome park space, although redevelopment remains unfinished. East of the stations, Doyama provides the city's clearest concentration of LGBTQ nightlife, rather than just a scattered selection of friendly venues.
