Lipótváros is our default recommendation: handsome streets between Parliament, Liberty Square and St. Stephen’s Basilica, with a businesslike rhythm and serious restaurants. It feels more composed than the Jewish Quarter without isolating you from central Pest. Stay around the Basilica and Október 6. utca for restaurant life, or toward Parliament for a more restrained setting.

- After dark
- Restaurants keep the Basilica end sociable; visitors describe Parliament’s immediate surroundings as much quieter late at night.
