Questions families ask
Which rooms have queens or kings rather than two doubles?
The Berkeley’s Luxury Quadruple has two queens, while Centara Grand’s Family Premium has two kings. Madi Paidi’s Premium room has two doubles, so each pair shares a narrower bed. ASAI, Pranakorn and ibis Styles Ratchada pair an adult bed with children’s bunks. The Nhorm specifies two kings, but conflicting descriptions make confirmation important.
Does a two-bedroom suite count as one room booking?
Yes, the suites listed here are single accommodation units with separate bedrooms, not recommendations to book connecting rooms. Chatrium, Pathumwan Princess, lebua and JC Kevin give parents and children separate sleeping spaces within a suite. If everyone must sleep in the same bedroom, choose a two-bed or bunk-bed room instead. Pathumwan and ibis explicitly specify two adults and two children.
Can we add a crib or rollaway?
Do not assume either fits just because a hotel offers them generally. ASAI has neither, and The Nhorm has no cribs. Pranakorn lists free cribs for ages zero to two, but availability in its family room needs confirmation. JC Kevin lists free cribs for ages zero to three. None of these recommended layouts needs a rollaway for four.
How much more does a room for four cost than a room for two?
The same-night comparisons show Madi Paidi’s four-person room costing 45% more than its cheapest room for two, ibis Styles Ratchada’s 65% more, and The Nhorm’s 79% more. These are comparisons for a particular night, not fixed supplements. Most other hotels lack a comparable figure. Check the full family booking, including breakfast and any requested extra-bed charges.
Which Bangkok neighborhood works best with children?
For straightforward train outings, ibis Styles Ratchada has Huai Khwang MRT directly outside; ASAI puts you near Wat Mangkon MRT and Chinatown food. Pranakorn suits Old City sightseeing but has weaker rail access. Siam and Pratunam offer mall convenience. Chatrium’s riverside setting adds space and boat outings, though convenient Skytrain access involves a boat connection.
