Adina CityLife Wellington is a practical 4-star apartment hotel whose strongest selling points are space and location. We'd pick it for families or longer stays: the one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments have full kitchens and in-room laundry, while studios offer kitchenettes. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and easy access to shops, the cable car and waterfront. It's a very good fit if independence matters more than hotel pampering.
The trade-off is presentation: several guests describe older furnishings, and some rear-facing apartments have little daylight or an uninspiring outlook. Ask for a brighter, higher-floor room. Parking costs extra, and drivers should use the Gilmer Terrace entrance rather than Lambton Quay. There's no on-site breakfast restaurant; dining is available at nearby Travelodge. We'd skip it for a stylish, full-service getaway.
