8.2/10
A strong beachfront pick for kitchen-equipped stays, provided you choose the right room.
Boardwalk Resort and Villas is a mid-range 3-star timeshare resort right on Virginia Beach’s boardwalk. It’s a strong pick for families wanting a kitchen-equipped suite and easy beach access rather than luxury. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise helpful staff and clean accommodations; Booking.com’s overall ratings also support a comfortable stay. The indoor pool, hot tub and nearby fishing pier add practical appeal.
Choose your room carefully: studios are compact and city-facing, while larger suites offer more living space and selected ocean views. Several recent Expedia guests describe a worn building needing updates. There’s a daily resort fee, a credit-card security deposit, no daily housekeeping and a 10 a.m. checkout. The hotel also warns that improvement work can cause disturbances, without specifying current projects. We’d skip it if you want freshly polished interiors or full-service hotel routines.

Best for: families booking kitchen-equipped suites; couples choosing ocean-view accommodations; longer, self-catering beach stays
Watch out for: compact, city-facing studios; dated interiors and possible improvement-work noise; resort fee and no daily housekeeping
Location: Direct beach and boardwalk access, with the fishing pier and restaurants a short walk away.
Rooms: Studios have kitchenettes; larger suites have kitchens and more space, but ocean views require the right category.
Cleanliness: Recent guests generally praise clean rooms and common areas despite visible wear.
Service: Friendly, helpful front-desk staff are a consistent strength across recent Expedia and Tripadvisor reviews.
Amenities: Indoor heated pool, hot tub, fitness center and laundry; the official site lists seasonal dining.
Fees and surprises: Daily resort fee includes parking; credit-card deposit, cashless payments, no daily housekeeping and 10 a.m. checkout.
