The David InterContinental is a large five-star seafront hotel, strongest as a full-service base for combining beach time with Neve Tzedek and Carmel Market. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the breakfast, sea views and welcoming staff; cleanliness is generally rated well. We'd shortlist it for families and travelers who want a pool, spa and substantial hotel facilities rather than boutique intimacy.

Room selection matters. IHG says floors 5–10 are newly renovated, and new Premium Terrace Rooms launched in August 2026, but that doesn't mean every room has been refreshed. Recent feedback still includes older interiors and uneven handling of maintenance or housekeeping problems—shortcomings that matter at this level. The outdoor pool is seasonal, parking costs extra, and Club Lounge access requires an eligible booking. We'd skip it if uniformly polished rooms and reliably seamless service are your priorities.
