Axel's take: 8.1/10

A comfortable business base with rooftop appeal, but not a beach-holiday address. an upscale boutique business hotel in Ramat Gan, scored for what it is.

Hotel Indigo is an upscale boutique business hotel in Ramat Gan’s Diamond District, rather than central Tel Aviv. It’s a strong pick for nearby meetings or an adults-only city break if you’re happy using transport. Booking.com and Expedia guests regularly praise comfortable beds, cleanliness, helpful staff and breakfast. The small rooftop pool and skyline views give it an appealing extra beyond the business-hotel basics.

The compromises are room size and location: standard rooms are compact, and the beach isn’t on your doorstep. Some guests also flag dim lighting and noise, so don’t assume the advertised soundproofing guarantees silence. IHG lists the pool season as April through October; confirm access conditions before booking around it. We’d skip it for a beach-first holiday or a stay where spacious rooms matter most.

• Best for: Diamond District business travelers; Couples happy using public transport; Adults seeking a rooftop pool

• Watch out for: Compact standard rooms; Some reports of noise and dim lighting; Seasonal pool; not a beachfront location

• Location: Ramat Gan business district, with light rail nearby; better for meetings than beach access.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and good showers draw praise; standard rooms are small and some guests find them dark.

• Cleanliness: Generally well rated across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor, despite occasional complaints.

• Service: Helpful staff receive frequent praise, although some guests report disappointing complaint handling.

• Amenities: Seasonal rooftop pool, spa, gym, restaurant and free Wi-Fi; breakfast is a recurring strength.

• Fees and surprises: Paid third-party parking nearby, a security deposit and no hotel shuttle; confirm pool charges and breakfast inclusion.
