Axel's take: 8.3/10

A well-located, good-value base, provided you’re comfortable with limited service. a small, no-frills city hotel with kitchenettes on Dizengoff Street, scored for what it is.

Dizengoff 208 is a small, no-frills city hotel whose strongest asset is its address: cafés, restaurants and shops surround it, and Hilton Beach is a short walk away. It’s a strong pick for independent travelers who want a comfortable base rather than a full-service hotel. Booking.com and Expedia guests generally praise the location, cleanliness and value; room kitchenettes make simple meals practical.

The trade-offs are limited reception coverage and imperfect sound isolation. Many guests praise manager Micky’s helpfulness, but some describe difficult interactions or finding nobody at the desk, so arrange arrival instructions beforehand. Reports of street, rooftop and neighboring-room noise make this less convincing for light sleepers. An Expedia guest mentioned nearby construction in March 2025; whether that work continues is unconfirmed. We’d skip it if you want round-the-clock service or a beachfront setting.

• Best for: independent city-break travelers; couples prioritizing location and value; travelers wanting a kitchenette

• Watch out for: limited reception hours; arrange arrival ahead; street, rooftop and neighboring-room noise; no on-site parking

• Location: Lively Dizengoff Street setting near cafés and shops; Hilton Beach is roughly a 10-minute walk, not directly outside.

• Rooms: Simple, air-conditioned rooms with kitchenettes; comfortable beds earn praise, but sound isolation gets mixed reports.

• Cleanliness: Generally praised across booking sites, though occasional negative reports prevent an unqualified endorsement.

• Service: Often helpful and personal, but limited desk coverage and some difficult interactions are meaningful drawbacks.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, elevator, refrigerators and microwaves; a practical city base rather than a facilities-led hotel.

• Fees and surprises: No on-site parking; confirm arrival access and applicable VAT or exemption documentation. Supplied website now identifies itself as unofficial.
