Axel's take: 8.1/10

A strong seaside base, especially if you book one of the renovated rooms. A large, upscale Dan Hotels property across from the beach, scored for what it is.

Dan Panorama is a large, upscale Dan Hotels property across from the beach and Charles Clore Park, well placed for exploring Neve Tzedek, Carmel Market and Jaffa. We'd pick it for the generous breakfast, substantial outdoor pool and sea-view balconies rather than boutique atmosphere. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the food and helpful staff. A renovation completed in November 2025 refreshed 217 rooms, the lobby, restaurant and pool deck.

The important distinction is room category: book a New Executive Room rather than assuming every room has been modernized. Older rooms still attract complaints about dated fittings, while guests also flag noise and crowded weekend pool sessions. Cleanliness feedback is mostly positive, though not uniformly so. It's a strong pick for families combining sightseeing with pool time; we'd skip it for hushed luxury or consistently polished rooms throughout.

• Best for: Families combining pool time and sightseeing; Travelers exploring Jaffa and Neve Tzedek; Breakfast enthusiasts

• Watch out for: Renovated and older room categories differ; Weekend pool crowds and guest noise; Seasonal outdoor pool

• Location: Across from the beach and park, with Neve Tzedek, Carmel Market and Jaffa within walking reach.

• Rooms: Balconies and mostly sea-facing views; New Executive Rooms are the clearest choice for updated interiors.

• Cleanliness: Mostly praised across guest sites, with some housekeeping lapses rather than a consistent negative pattern.

• Service: Warm, helpful staff draw repeated praise, although check-in and problem handling can be uneven.

• Amenities: Large seasonal outdoor pool, spa, gym and convention facilities; breakfast is a recurring highlight.

• Fees and surprises: Parking costs extra and is subject to availability; Saturday and final Jewish-holiday check-in starts at 18:00.
