Axel's take: 8.0/10

A strong city base for breakfast and location, less convincing for poolside lounging. a mid-range design hotel near Rothschild Boulevard, scored for what it is.

Brown BoBo is a mid-range design hotel near Rothschild Boulevard, better suited to exploring Tel Aviv than retreating from it. We'd pick it for the walkable restaurant-and-nightlife location, characterful interiors and frequently praised breakfast. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly highlight helpful staff, while recent reviews generally support a clean, comfortable stay. It's a strong choice for couples and city breaks without full-service luxury expectations.

The compromises are compact entry-level rooms and a rooftop plunge pool rather than a proper swimming pool; some guests also mention noise between rooms. The hotel announces the pool will close November 1, 2026, and reopen April 20, 2027. Parking costs extra and depends on availability. We'd skip it if spacious rooms, guaranteed quiet or a winter pool are central to your plans.

• Best for: couples on city breaks; restaurant and nightlife explorers; business travelers near Rothschild

• Watch out for: compact entry-level rooms; some reports of neighboring-room noise; rooftop pool closed November 1, 2026–April 20, 2027

• Location: Walkable dining and nightlife near Rothschild Boulevard, with Allenby light-rail station close by.

• Rooms: Distinctive design and comfortable beds; standard categories are compact, with larger suites available.

• Cleanliness: Generally positive across sites, including recent Expedia reviews; occasional complaints do not dominate.

• Service: Helpful, multilingual staff earn repeated praise, particularly in recent Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews.

• Amenities: Seasonal rooftop plunge pool, gym, bookable spa treatments and a well-liked breakfast buffet.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is paid and subject to availability; check breakfast inclusion and the announced seasonal pool closure.
