#5 of 9 hotels in Xinyi by Axel's take. Xinyi is #7 of 9 places to stay in Taipei. The best hotels in Xinyi, ranked · Where to stay in Taipei

Axel's take: 8.3/10

A strong-value Xinyi base, provided you can live with imperfect soundproofing. a simple 3-star hotel on the fifth floor of an older building near Taipei 101, scored for what it is.

Members is a simple 3-star hotel occupying the fifth floor of an older building, rather than a standalone hotel. It’s a strong pick for exploring Xinyi without paying for full-service extras: Taipei 101, the MRT and Linjiang Street Night Market are within walking distance. Recent Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff, reinforcing the broadly positive ratings across booking sites.

The scruffy entrance is less appealing than the rooms, and soundproofing is the meaningful compromise. Multiple guests report traffic or plumbing noise, although others describe quiet stays. Room layouts vary, some categories lack windows, and bathrooms can be tight. We'd choose it for a practical sightseeing or convention stay, but skip it if you're a light sleeper or want extensive facilities.

  • Best for: value-minded Xinyi sightseers; Taipei 101-area convention visitors; families seeking four-person rooms

  • Watch out for: traffic and plumbing noise in some rooms; older building and uninviting entrance; windowless categories and compact bathrooms

  • Location: Walkable to Taipei 101, the red-line MRT and Linjiang Street Night Market, with convenience stores downstairs.

  • Rooms: Comfortable beds and large TVs earn praise; space, bathroom layouts and window availability vary by category.

  • Cleanliness: Recent reviews are predominantly positive about room cleanliness, consistent with strong booking-site category ratings.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff and luggage storage are recurring strengths; a 24-hour desk is listed.

  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, lobby coffee and tea, and luggage storage cover the basics; confirm breakfast arrangements before booking.

  • Fees and surprises: No on-site parking; confirm late-arrival arrangements because Expedia lists a check-in cutoff despite a 24-hour desk.
