#4 of 8 hotels in Beitou Hot Springs by Axel's take. Beitou Hot Springs is #9 of 9 places to stay in Taipei. The best hotels in Beitou Hot Springs, ranked · Where to stay in Taipei

Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong choice for private hot-spring soaking without sacrificing easy transport. an upscale hot-spring wellness hotel opposite Xinbeitou MRT, scored for what it is.

Hotel Royal Beitou is an upscale wellness hotel opposite Xinbeitou MRT, and it's a strong pick for a hot-spring break without a remote-resort commute. Private spring-water tubs are the main attraction. Recent Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms, helpful staff and satisfying breakfasts; Booking.com's strong cleanliness and comfort scores support that picture. We'd choose it for a couple of restorative nights exploring Beitou on foot.

The trade-offs are practical: the communal bathing area is relatively compact, parking is limited and can cost extra, and this isn't central Taipei. The hotel also lists a May 2026 notice about PURE CUISINE air-conditioning and ceiling work; confirm dining arrangements before booking. We'd skip it if downtown sightseeing matters more than soaking, or you're expecting sprawling resort facilities.

  • Best for: couples wanting private hot-spring baths; car-free Beitou breaks; travelers seeking wellness activities

  • Watch out for: limited parking with possible extra charges; compact communal bathing facilities; confirm PURE CUISINE maintenance status

  • Location: Opposite Xinbeitou MRT, with Beitou Park and local sights within walking distance; outside central Taipei.

  • Rooms: Comfortable rooms with private spring-water tubs; the entry-level Superior category measures 33 square meters.

  • Cleanliness: Strong scores across major sites and repeated recent praise; occasional maintenance criticism is not the dominant picture.

  • Service: Recent guests consistently praise helpful staff, warm welcomes and explanations of room facilities.

  • Amenities: Communal hot springs, sauna, steam room, gym, spa treatments and organized activities emphasize wellness rather than resort scale.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking cannot be reserved and package allowances vary; a May 2026 notice flags restaurant AC and ceiling maintenance.
